Conditions We Help

We help people with Crohn’s disease, Ulcerative Colitis, Microscopic Colitis, and a wide rangeof complex gut conditions. These all share the same underlying drivers like: immune imbalance, environmental toxins, bile acid dysfunction, mitochondrial injury, and stress-related gut shutdown, mold exposure, parasites, and microbiome collapse.

Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD)

Overview: IBD includes Crohn's disease and Ulcerative Colitis in all their forms. While the inflammation appears different on a colonoscopy, the root drivers often involve the same TH1/TH17 immune activation, dysbiosis, histamine overload, mold-triggered inflammation, bile acid dysfunction, parasites, dysbiosis, and mitochondrial injury.

Crohn's Disease

  • Crohn's Colitis

  • Stricturing Crohn's

  • Fistulizing / Penetrating Crohn's

  • Perianal Crohn's

Ulcerative Colitis

  • ulcerative proctitis

  • proctosigmoiditis

  • left-sided colitis

  • pancolitis

  • fulminant colitis

IBD-U

Indeterminate/Unclassified IBD

I help identify the specific biological pathways involved in each case - whether the inflammation is patchy, continuous, left-sided, rectal-only, or full-colon - and address the immune, toxic, microbial, bile, and mitochondrial factors driving each pattern.

Other Colitis Types (non-IBD Colitis)

Overview: Not all colitis is "IBD." Some forms of colon inflammation come from immune reactions, toxins, infections, blood-flow issues, or microscopic tissue changes. These conditions often overlap with the same drivers seen in IBD.

Conditions included:

  • Microscopic Colitis

    • lymphocytic colitis

    • collagenous colitis

  • Ischemic Colitis

  • Infectious Colitis (e.g., C. diff, bacterial, viral)

  • Atypical / Nonspecific Colitis

Although these conditions differ from classic IBD, they often involve similar immune pathways (T-reg suppression, mast cell activation), microbial imbalance, toxin exposure, or bile acid issues - all of which can be tested and corrected.

Conditions Often Confused with IBD

Overview: Many gut conditions mimic Crohn's or Colitis - especially when diarrhea, urgency, bleeding, or abdominal pain show up. These deserve proper evaluation because they can share root causes like mold exposure, bile acid problems, dysbiosis, and mitochondrial dysfunction.

Diverticulitis

Diverticulosis

C. diff colitis

or recurrent C. diff symptoms

Post-infectious colitis

food poisoning aftermath

C. diff colitis

or recurrent C. diff symptoms

Post-cholecystectomy diarrhea

These conditions often sit in the "gray area" between inflammation, infection, and functional gut issues - and respond well when the immune, bile, microbial, and toxin patterns are addressed.

Gut-Immune and Functional Digestive Disorders

Overview: Many people experience chronic digestive symptoms without a formal IBD diagnosis. These symptoms often stem from the same biological breakdowns seen in Crohn's and Colitis - including dysbiosis, bile acid dysfunction, mold exposure, histamine overload, and stress physiology.

Bile Acid Malabsorption (BAM)

SIFO (fungal overgrowth)

Mold-triggered gut disorders

SIBO (hydrogen, methane, hydrogen-sulfide)

Histamine Intolerance / MCAS (Mast Cell Activation Syndrome)

Chronic diarrhea

These conditions are often early manifestations of deeper immune or microbial disruption — and respond exceptionally well when we identify and correct their underlying drivers.

Chronic bloating / distension

  • Leaky Gut Syndrome (increased intestinal permeability)

  • Post-antibiotic gut injury

  • Severe food sensitivities or food-triggered flare patterns

  • IBS (as an IBD-adjacent dysfunction)

  • Fungal / yeast overgrowth

My Approach To All Conditions

Using our methods within The Gut Health Solution, I evaluate and correct the five core systems that drive every one of the conditions above:

This approach helps clients reduce inflammation, calm symptoms, and restore stability - no matter which condition or subtype they've been diagnosed with.

WE CAN HELP

If you're dealing with any of these conditions, I can help you identify the underlying patterns driving your symptoms and create a customizable plan for your recovery.
