IBD Frequently Asked Questions

Approximately 80-90% of people feel 75-100% in just 16 weeks with a total success rate of more than 92% for those who complete every step required to heal naturally.
True healing is a long game and you’ll need to continue keeping your gut healthy once we’re finished working together.

The Gut Health Solution is a fully customized 16-week program, with 4 main goals:
1. Find the root causes:
These are steps that Western medicine often misses. Instead, it just blocks symptoms with drugs rather than actually getting to the root causes and contributing factors.
2. Repair the tissue:
We can’t have a healthy body with damaged tissue. In order to rebalance your bacteria and improve long term health that lasts, we need to repair all of the damage done from the inflammation.
3. Rebuild the microbiome:
Your bacteria are at the centre of everything; arguably more than your very DNA. In 99% of the cases of IBD and IBS that we see, there’s uncontrolled bacteria; even some classified as “autoimmune/ inflammatory” bacteria.
4. Rejuvenate the Immune System:
Many people understand what it means to “boost” the immune system, but what we really want to do is rejuvenate it. After all, that’s the reason why autoimmunity happens!
Roughly 30% of people will need more help beyond 16 weeks, and can always continue working with our team on a month to month basis.

We stand by our work, and we want to make sure you get results; but some cases are trickier than others and just take more time.
If you finish the program completely, and don’t get results, we’ll continue helping you inside our program, for free until you.
-
Absolutely.
We’ve worked with clients from all around the world; in countries like Canada, the USA, Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Eastern Europe, Vietnam and more.
-
Every client is different, but the most common tests we do are stool, urine, hair and sometimes blood, depending on the need.
We work with private labs all over the world to make sure you have access to everything you may need.
-
We're going to guide you through every step needed to correct the things contributing to your gut issues.
This includes an extremely thorough assessment, a completely customized meal plan, supplement recommendations to bridge the gap until your body can heal itself, hand-holding weekly coaching calls, weekly check-ins, lessons and guides... and so much more.
It almost sounds “too simple” and that’s the point.
You're never going to be left on your own; we're here to guide you through this process so that you come out the other side healthier and happier than ever before!
This is the most effective process I have ever seen; so much so that we’re now working with doctors in clinics across the country to help them with their patients.
-
The truth is, it would either be a lie or medically ignorant to say that this program will work for 100% of people, all the time.
But I will say this: I haven't had a single client go through this program, do the work and not get the results they were looking for, or better.
With over 10 years of experience, the only people who aren’t successful are the ones who don’t do the work.
-
We offer both private and small group programs to match all needs and budgets and we don’t create cookie-cutter programs which is why we have such an thorough intake process and a high success rate.
On top of our own assessments and intake forms, we also review any blood work, medical tests, medications, supplements or other things you're taking as they pertain to your case.
Sometimes, this even means connecting and consulting with any other medical professionals you may be seeing in relation to your gut health.
After all of this is done, we send you a fully customized and easy to follow program that will get you from constant pain, medication and uncontrolled bowels, to having total control over your gut!
-
Our private and small group programs have different price points, from a few hundred to a few thousand dollars, so we have different price ranges to match almost every budget!
On our first call together, we will work to determine your root causes, how long it might take you to see the results you need, and what lab testing or supplement costs might be.
We’ll be able to give you an accurate estimate for total expected costs right away.
-
This is a "yes" and "no" sort of question.
Supplements can certainly help speed things along and bridge the gap until your body can take care of itself.
But are they absolutely necessary to get healthy again? Sometimes they are and sometimes they aren’t, but we STRONGLY recommend them in most circumstances.
We don't sell supplements directly, but we will recommend certain brands that we trust and help you source them from affordable sources.

Many people achieve remission by correcting immune imbalance, bile dysfunction, mold toxicity, mitochondrial injury, and microbiome collapse.
But I don’t like the word “remission” as it indicates you always “have” this disease. I prefer the term “reverse” and I do believe that all cases are reversible, given the right tools and time.
-
Because most cases involve multiple immune lanes (TH1/TH2/TH17/Treg). Biologics target only one or just a few.
-
Yes. Mycotoxins activate TLR4, suppress Th1 and Tregs, elevate histamine, injure mitochondria, and disrupt bile acids.
-
GI-MAP or Gut Zoomer
OAT (Orgaic Acid Test)
Mycotoxin Panel
HTMA (Hair tissue mineral analysis)
bile acid markers
calprotectin
sIgA
CBC (complete blood count)
immune panels.
-
It depends on immune dominance, bile acid status, histamine levels, and microbial patterns. There is no one-size-fits-all diet for Crohn’s and colitis.
-
Because medication suppresses inflammation but does not address root causes like mold exposure, bile acid malabsorption, microbial imbalance, mitochondrial dysfunction, or vagal stress patterns - all of which can independently trigger flares.
-
Common drivers include bile acid malabsorption (especially after ileum injury or removal), low digestive enzymes, SIBO/SIFO, mucosal thinning, mycotoxin exposure, excess histamine, and methane, hydrogen or hydrogen-sulfide–producing bacteria
-
Antibiotics reduce bacteria temporarily but worsen dysbiosis long-term by removing protective species, reducing SCFA production, elevating LPS (endotoxins or toxins made by bacteria in your gut), and opening the door to fungal overgrowth.
-
Chronic stress lowers vagal tone, reduces motility, impairs bile flow, increases permeability, inhibits mitochondrial function, compromises your immune system and heightens inflammatory cytokines, all of which worsen Crohn’s and Colitis.
-
Inflammation affects mitochondrial energy production, bile acids, nutrient absorption (B12, magnesium, zinc), histamine regulation, LPS (gut bacterial toxins) exposure, and vagus nerve signalling - all of which influence mental clarity and mood.
-
Crohn’s and Colitis arise from a combination of things like:
immune pathway imbalance (TH1/TH2/TH17/Treg)
environmental triggers (mold, mycotoxins, LPS endotoxin)
bile acid dysfunction
microbiome collapse
mitochondrial injury
stress physiology
impaired gut barrier function
Most individuals develop IBD when 3–5 of these systems break down simultaneously.
Crohn’s and Colitis are complex conditions that involve immune pathways, the microbiome, bile acids, environmental triggers, and the gut–brain axis.
This page answers the most common questions patients ask, using clear, root-cause explanations grounded in immunology, microbiology, and functional physiology.
IBD Glossary (Key Terms)
Immune pathways: TH1, TH2, TH17, Treg patterns involved in inflammation
Bile acid malabsorption: impaired reabsorption after ileum injury or removal
TLR4 activation: immune response triggered by mold, LPS, and toxins
Dysbiosis: microbial imbalance in your gut bacteria (gut microbiome)
